A palindrome is a word, phrase, verse, sentence, number, or poem that reads the same forward or backward. It comes from Greek word Palindromos. Palin means again and dromos means running. Together they are: running again.
TOO BAD THE WORD PALINDROME ITSELF ISN'T A PALINDROME!
A palindrome can be a word or phrase. Here are some examples:
~Racecar
~A Toyota
~Anna
~ A but tuba
~A Toyota’s a Toyota.
~ Bob
Read the poem straight. There will be a turning word that will be at the middle of the poem. For example:
Reflections
Life-
imitates nature,
always moving, traveling continuously.
Falling leaves placed delicately;
foliage touching the echoing waters,
clarity removed -
Reflections distorted through waves rippling;
gracefully dancing
mirrored images
- reflect -
images mirrored.
Dancing gracefully,
rippling waves through distorted reflections -
removed clarity.
Waters echoing the touching foliage;
delicately placed leaves falling -
continuously traveling, moving always,
nature imitates
life.
