Geography

Communication

The geography around the Incas was not as helpful as the geography surrounding the Spaniards. The Spaniards easily traded to the West to China and the Indies. These places had fairly similar climates and weather. If the Incas wanted to trade with another civilization, they would have to go South, where the climate and weather is different. This means they could not bring things from the North to the South or things from the South to the North.

The Spaniards communicated through the Printing Press and trade.

Resources\Trading

Printing Press

They wrote letters and had a mail carrier take it to where the letter was sent too.

Thanks to trading, the Spaniards were able to get new things and use those things. For example, if the Spaniards didn't trade with China for gun powder, the Spaniards would not have guns. Most importantly, trading let the Spaniards have horses.

The Printing Press made Cortez's book, which explained his strategy on how he beat the Aztecs. Pizarro read this book and copied Cortez's plan. The plan worked just as well on the Incas as it did on the Aztecs. If the Printing Press hadn't been invented, then the book would have never been published. If the book was never published, Pizarro probably would not have won.

They rode on horses to get to there destination to communicate with someone out of there tribe. The horses also helped with transportation.

Disease

Technology

There were many different diseases carried on to the ``New World ``. Some of the diseases were smallpox, whooping cough, influenza and typhus.

  • Printing Press
  • Guns
  • Steel swords

what are the diseases?

Why Did the indians not have the disease before????

The Spanish Rapier sword featured hand protection from the point of the enemy's sword. This Spanish Rapier had a steel blade that narrows suddenly toward the point and a 24K Gold plated cast metal at the end of the sword. The pastille shaped pommel is also in 24K Gold plated metal and the hand grip is covered in fine black leather

the whooping cough:contagious bacterial disease chiefly affecting children, characterized by convulsive coughs followed by a whoop

smallpox-an acute contagious viral disease, with fever and pustules usually leaving permanent scars.

typhus- an infectious disease caused by rickettsiae, characterized by a purple rash, headaches, fever

  • The reason why they did not have these diseases is because they where not near other countries. When Spain, came it was easier for them to get the diseases. Plus they were not around the farm animals that the Spanish were around.

influenza-a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory passages causing fever, severe aching

The Spaniards were able to have more advanced weapons because of communication and trading.
