1. Most people figure that, Due to their physical appearence, they are apart of the rodent family. They are wrong! Shrews Are not , in any way shape or form, Related to the rodent family.
Threats: One main reason for the Sao Tome Shrew being endangered is of the deforestation and Habitat Degradation, Due to the Portuguese Settling in 1479. Alot of forest was cut down to make houses and gradens. Other than those there are many more, For example both domestic and feral pigs, goats, sheep, cats, dogs, weasels, civets, rats and mice destruct the Shrews Habitat.
Habitat
The sao tome shrews habitat is in the Montane Tropical forests. They live by human settlements which make them comforable with humans. It can live in altitudes 75 to 1,200 metres.
