Alan Turing was gay, and back in the 1950's, being gay wasnt accepted in society. He was given the 'cure' for homosexuality- estrogen injections. Due to these injections, Turing began to develop breasts and eventually committed suicide in 1954, 16 days before his birthday.
Ada Lovelace was the daughter of the famous poet Lord Byron.
Her full name was Augusta Ada Lovelace, but she was fondly called Ada by her family. She was born the 10th of December 1815.
Growing up, Ada was taught mathematics and science, an unknown thing for women to learn, as women back then weren't seen as equals.
Ada showed a talent in maths at an early age, and translated an article by Charles Babbage and then even added her own comments.
Ada's mother wasn't happy while married to her husband, so a few weeks after she was born, they separated. A few months after that her father moved to Greece 8 years later- Ada never even saw her father.
