There was a winner to this conflict, well... in a way. This book is part of a series so i am not sure who the final winners will be but so far Jared, Simon, and Mallory are winning.
The type of conflict in this book is man vs. nature and man vs. creature , because the kids have to deal with the creatures of the woods.
Simon:Tree hugger, smart, caring, a little bit annoying, and shyish.
Jared:Fun, crazy, rebelious, and clever.
Malory:Mature, rude, sometimes caring, and sometimes helpful.
The POV of this book is third person. The book would be jarasticly different if the POV was different in a way to where we would not be able to know what the characters are thinking and therefor not being filled with as much info as possible. I am very glad that the book is in third person POV.
Protgonists:Jared and his twin Simon and their siste Mallory, thimbletack(brownie form),the kids mom, and hogsqueal.
Antagonists:The goblins, the troll, and thimbletack(Bogart form).

rising.
Simon gets kidnapped. Then mallory and jared fight to get him back. They save a griffin along with a few other animals.
CLIMAX: the climax is when they kill the goblins and get caught by mom.
Falling.
They go to bed to find their room torn up.
There isnt quite a resolution yet.
The setting for this book is spiderwick estate in Maine. I believe that the setting did have a big impact on the book. The reason is that they would have never found the book thfor never discovering the fantastical creatures of their surroundings.
THe theme to this book is probably to stand your ground and to not let people take whats yours.
Fairies
Yes I did enjoy the book. I enjoyed it because of its fantasy touch and fun adventure like description.
The genre of this book is fantasy. It is fantasy because it includes fantasy creatures such as goblins, trolls, fairies, and brownies. This book also includes many fantasy ideas.
