The TALON is a very powerful, light-weight robot that is used in the Military. The TALON is designed to with stand many different missions it may encounter. It can do anything from reconnaissance to combat. It is very large and has a quick-release cargo bay which accommodates a variety of system pay-loads makin the TALON a one-robot solution to variety of different missions.

The TALON was used for a WTC search and rescue on Ground Zero. For 40 days after 9/11 TALONs were used constantly on Ground Zero for protection and servaillance.

All TALONs are now equipped with chemical,

gas, temperature and radiation sensors. The

Military is now running tests on TALONs

equipped with guns. TALON robots are also having

additional tests ran on them with equipped

grenade launchers and anti-tank rocket launchers.

TALONs on Ground Zero

The TALON is able to go through

any terrain. It has special tracks on

its wheels to go across the snow and through

dense forests. It has an outer covering

to be able to be completley submerged underwater.

1993- Black Hawk Down. Terrorists shot down two Navy Seal Black Hawk helicopters. The Seals had to fight there way out of out of the town they were stranded in. This story is a horrible tradgedy . 16 Seals were killed, while another 73 were injured. Not many know;however, that a Foster Miller TALON robot was actually involved in the fighting saving many american lives
