How it started
They began in the 1890s, when motion picture cameras were invented and film production companies started to be established. Because of the limits of technology, films of the 1890s were under a minute long and until 1927 motion pictures were produced without sound.
Lumiere Brothers
They were the ones who came up with cinematography. Even though their 'movies' were about a minute long, they are still iconic and remembered for what they did
What had happened
There was such a high demand for these movies to be longer and to actually have sound. In the 1920s, a camera was built to serve this purpose but not as well as we see nower days
