"And all of Clay Are We Created" is a short story by Isabel Allende. It is based on several newscasts of a volcanic eruption that took place in Colombia. Azucena is a thirteen-year-old girl victim of the story. She is discovered burried in mud up to her torso. Reporter Rolf Carle is one of many covering the disaster. While he is trying to report the events and rescue efforts, he can not help but caught up in then himself. When rescuers throw a rope to Azucena, she is unable to grasp it or tie it around herself. Rolf goes into the mud to help try to rescue this girl affected by the disaster. Rolf also fights with his past and memories throughout the story.

Favorite Part Of the Story

Recommendation

-We would recommend this story because it ralates to obsacles that we encouter in life and how this make us who we are in the future. This story teaches us that is humble and kind but also one that cannot accept his reality causing him to focus on the reality of others. At a particular point of time, life reflects this fact to s like it did the Rolf's life

-Our favorite part of the story is when the people fins Azucena and Rolf gets in the mud to help her. They use the rope and tire. They ask people for the pump. Rolf tells her the story of his past, After all of this, Azucena dies. This is our favorite part of the story because this includes the rising action and the climax of the story, This part would lead to the change of Rolf Carle.
