-One objective in car manufacturers is vehicle weight reduction
-Using Nano engineered thermoplastic materials would allow these manufacturers to achieve up to 40% weight reduction
-If they achieve producing the body of the car using nanotechnology and nanosteel, the car will be able to stay clean by its self and wont have to be washed as often as a normal car
-By doing this, the car will also be scratch resistant and dirt repellant, UV resistant, and will have self healing body paint
-Using nanotechnology in the interior will mostly be used for things that deal with comfort when the owner is driving the vehicle
-Dirt repellent
-Antimicrobial textiles and surfaces
-Nanoparticle air filters
-Anti-glare coatings for mirrors and windshields
-Climate controlled seats, and Climate control in the car altogether using thermoelectrics

-The tires was one of the first things on a vehicle to be partly made with nanotechnology.
-Carbon black was the first nano-material to be used for tires, as a pigment and reinforcer
-Three properties that significantly improve the propeties of natural rubber are: Soot, Silica, and Organosilane (which are now currently all being produced in nanoscale form, which helps improve: Tire grip, Abrasion resistance, resistance to tear and wear, and tear propagation).
-To me, it also sounds like they are trying to use Carbon Fibers (very lightweight material, and very expensive) in tire making
-There are many outcomes using nanotechnology in cars:
-Some of these ways have already been successfully produced, and are actually being used today.

Nano-Wipe- When you are driving, when it rains you dont even need your windshield wipers on, when the rain hits the windshield it will just slide off.
Anti-Fog- With this it will reduce the fog on the windows in your car.
Nano-Rim- With this coat on your rims, your rims will last longer. Your rims will be cleaner, and dirt will be alot easier to clean off.
Nano-Paint- Adhesion of dirt and bugs, easy to clean car, nanopaint protects bodywork, increases weather and UV resistance, reduces corrosion, acid, alkali, water, and alcohol resistant. Protection lasts up to 2 years.
Nano-Sealant Seat- Dirt resistant, and if you spill something in your car it can easily be cleaned and wont leave any stains on the car seat.
