Formulation and implementation of the National Cultural Policy is necessary for the developing countries of Malaysia and a multi-ethnic population who practice a different culture. This policy can be in the form of guidelines and create a united nation and maintain a national identity among the international world. However, its implementation is complex and can not be achieved in a short time. Broad awareness and understanding will help achieving the aspirations and ambitions for the implementation of this policy with the only National Cultural awareness will be distinguished with tribal cultural or ethnic culture. Nurtured culture will characterize the properties of the equation beyond tribal boundaries and national identity of Malaysia shows itself as an independent state and dignity.

3. Islam became an important element in the development of national culture.
1. As a guideline in designing, formulating and sustaining the national identity of Malaysia in the world;
2. The need to face the challenges posed by modernization, free trade, democracy, good governance;
3. The need for the respect of human rights, as well as balancing the diversity of cultural expression with economic and sustainable development;
4. To restore national pride and dilute the colonial culture imposed;
5. To unite diversity which has a huge cultural resources and talents and incorporated into national agenda
6. To accentuate Malaysia's glorious historical background;
7. To develop the culture sector into a vibrant economic sector;
8. Aims at safeguarding and protecting our cultural resources from misappropriation not only by outsiders but also by our own; and
9. Strengthening the national identity as the Malaysian race;
The National Culture Policy is based on several elements and 3 principles determined by the government as the National Culture Policy are as follows:
National Cultural Policy is a policy enacted since independence in 1971 as there is no way in creating a national culture.
Due to low awareness and understanding of the culture, which emphasizes the importance of cultural politics and race a greater emphasis on economic development.
