The point of my project is to see which type of chocolate(white, dark and milk) would melt the fastest. To prove which type would melt the fastest, I put all three types of chocolate in small glass bowls and left them out in the sun. I observed and timed when they started melting and when they completely melted. The reason why this project is essential to life is to see which type of chocolate you could accidentally leave out in the sun for the longest.
The reason why the dark chocolate melted the fastest was because the sun is attracted to darker colours. The dark chocolate also had more cocoa butter/fat in it compared to the milk and white chocolate.

The reason why chocolate melts is because it contains cocoa butter. Cocoa butter is made of six different crystal forms that becomes liquid when exposed to heat. The more cocoa butter/fat that the chocolate contains, the faster it will melt. Since the dark chocolate contains more cocoa butter/fat it is more likely that it will melt the fastest.
