White collar crimes are non violent crimes. They are usually used for financial gain. Some people who are likely to commit a white collar crime are an office workers, business managers, fund manager or executives. With only committing a crime once people can wipe out businesses and leave families bankrupt.

Blue Collar Crimes

Blue collar crimes almost always have violence involved with them. That could be to a human or their property. People who commit these crime are usually in the lower class.

One big difference between these two sections of crimes is the social class of who commits them. people who commit white collar crimes are usually in a higher social class then people who commit blue collar crime. There names come from blue collar jobs and white collar jobs. A white collar job would be a businessman while a blue collar job is a civil servant.
