In the 1800s they had many new inventions for communications such as a telegraph, which is is a communications system in which information is transmitted over a wire normally in morse code, and a telephone. They also sent letters to keep in touch with people, and they had a newspaper to get their information.

Some of the communications used in the 19th century are still used today, but they have been modified and upgraded. We still have newspapers, but we get most of out news on our cell phones,. We have tablets, laptops, and phones that send text, emails, we call and we also facetime.

Transportation

In the 1800s they had few ways of transportation, one was a steamship it transported mail, freight, and passengers to remote coastal settlements and urban places. Another way is a train, it transported people to the other side of the country. They also had land transportation by walking.

We still have trains, walking and ships in the 2000s, but we have more technological advances that aid us with transportation, such as cars, planes, bike, buses, and helicopters .

Conclusion

In conclusion technology from 2000s and in the 1800s is different and similar in many ways. Technology has evolved from then and it has made life easier.
