Antheia is the goddess of gardens, flowers, swamps, & marshes.
She was shown in Athenian vase paintings as one of the attendants of Aphrodite.
Her name came from the Greek word, anthos, meaning flower.
Her center worship was on the island of Crete.
She was worshiped
especially in spring.
Her parents were Zeus
and Metis.
To the Romans, she was
known as Anthea.
She enjoys nature, gardens, forests, & animals.
