- Edison left school and started working at the Grand Trunk Railroad selling newspapers, candy, and apples.
- He then got a job as a telegrapher afterwords, and worked in many different cities for another few years.
- Edison often set up labs where he worked and sometimes when his experiments failed, he was ired a lot of the times.
