Battle of Atlantic

VS

It was a part of WW2.When Germany declared war on United Kingdom, the allies wanted UK to battle and win, But as UK import many tons of things over million in one week, so it would be difficult for them to battle because the merchants and importers give the ammunition too. So Germany thought that they can kill the merchants who bring ammunition and other stuff in UK and they sailed all their U boats as much as possible to kill any ship that comes in their sight . When the allies of UK were told about that, the started declaring war on Germany and then attacked Germany with the greatest they have and this war formed into THE BATTLE OF ATLANTIC.

The battle of Atlantic has a long history as much as the thought of WORLD WAR 2 came into Hitler’s mind. Hitler wanted to capture every nation specially Jews. He had conquered France and Poland and then it was very open to attack United Kingdom. Hitler knew that and used this as his advantage by doing 2 months of bombing campaign, and Britain was well aware of that Nazi would attack us any moment. After invasion of Poland and France, it was obvious that Europe was Hitler’s ultimate goal, and Britain was at the top of the list. Britain leaders realized that Hitler neither could be calmed nor contained. Great Britain enacted it’s first peacetime draft in July 1939, requiring all strong and able twenty year old men to sign up for was supposed to be six month. However, the draftees soon fund out that they were in all out war and it was six years before that who survived the conflict could return to civil life.

A blackout imposed on Great Britain on September 1 1939, the day Hitler invaded Poland and it was obvious that now it’s Britian’s turn, and they were anticipate about the bombing that Germany is going to do but before Germany attacked UK, UK declared the war first. Now, in order for Britian to win the war, they would have to import lots of food materials as well as amunitions, so all allies of Great Britain US, Canada and Brazilian traders send as many ships as possible full of goods to Great Britain. Now Germany knew about the trade going on, so Germany send their ships on the Atlantic and were orders to sink any ship that they see. Now Britain was nearly out of amunitions and allies were being killed on Atlantic. Now Italy also joined Germany as allies and joined their U boats. And from that spot, the allies and Britain had a real hard time, and trouble. But they never gave up.

But thing's weren't the same. Britan called out for help. Canada, US came for help. the italians took side of Germany. Now it was a great battle going to start. Germany u boats had many advantages like they could read British codes. They had radars to tell them if the allies are attacking in the night. But allies, especially Canada, didn't gave up. Germany had radars and code reading machines, but Canada and allies had aircrafts, which changed the route of the war.

The allies were now doing their best, Germany did'nt gave up too until 1943 when Germany was fed up because of too much loss and of U boats with no good result. They even thought that fighting with them is no result. And the gave up at last. in the allies 2603 merchant ships sunk, as well as allied naval vessels. 30248 merchant seamen died as well as Royal Navy and RAF.30000 men of the British Merchant Navy were lost between 1935 - 45. Canada entered in WW2 on 10 Sep 1939. Its population overall was 11,267,000.And in military 45300 died in WW2. Canada had 15 fleet ships and a small army with aircrafts about 275 in number. Despite of her lack of weapons and military equipments, it actually greatly contributed in WW2 against Germany.
