A live Punch and Judy show created and performed by us.
Why?
Because children of a young age learn more from remembering things they watch. Most evident in today's world with TV, Social Media, Powerpoints etc.
This is also why if the Victorian costumes are traditional and look Victorian, then they could even try them on as part of a workshop after the show, because then they can pinpoint information they've learnt, with the image of them in the costume.
Stage in Two Halves, 1/2 Victorian seaside, 1/2 Modern resort. The company play a modern character and a Victorian character.
Victorian costumes are very long, so will go over top of modern Beach gear.
Children see the difference between the Two sets.
The same story is played over the two sets, to show the vast difference and the evolution of seaside holidays.
It begins to become Comedic and sad as the holiday goes on and all the modern characters are on their phones and basically unresponsive, showing how we've lost the true holiday spirit.
