Sikhism

what is culture?

Sikhism is a monotheistic religion founded during the 15th century by Guru Nanak. Sikhism combines both the hindu and islamic beliefs. Sikhism is more commonly seen in northern india.

Culture refers to a persons way of life. it includes how people meet their basic needs for food and shelter, and it also includes language,music, art and religion.

Buddhisim

Customs

Customs are one of the components that make up culture. Customs are the things people usually do, how they dress the food they eat, and how they celebrate holidays.

Gender roles

Buddisim began in nepal around 500 B.c. Siddhartha Gautama, who is commonly known as the Buddha, founded buddhism.While Buddhism remains most popular within Asia, both branches are now found throughout the world.

Gender roles are roles specifically assigned to man and women.

Animism

Multiculture

Animism is the belief that many things in nature have their own spirits. Animism is one of the earliest forms of religion. In sub-Saharan Africa, tribes believed that animals , plants, and even places had their own spirits.

Multiculture is a society made up of various

ethnicitys or culture groups .

Social class

Social class is how you are identified depending by the anually income you make. ( upper class, middle class, working, peasants, lower class. )

Islam

The islamic religion was founded by mohammed and it is momnotheistic.

Islam means submission,. People who follow this religion are called muslims.

Social mobility

Rual is charachterized by population density, not a lot of people live in a rual place.

Social mobility is how easy it is to change one's social class.

Christianity

Christianity began about 2,000 years ago. It's based on the teachings of jesus. Eventually, christianity became the major religion of the roman empire.

Hinduism

Hinduism is a very ancient religion. It teaches its disciples that the principles of life can be discovered through meditation. Hinduism has no single holy book, but Hindu writings like the Upanishads and the Bhagavad-Gita provide guidance and inspiration .

Urban

An urban area is characterized by higher population density. Urban areas may be cities, or towns.

Judaisim

Judaism was the first known religion that belilved in the exsistence of ONE GOD. The jewish religion emerged 4,000 yeras ago in the area along the mediterranean occupied by present day Isareal,Lebanon and Jordan.
