Marcia Overstand-She is the Extraordinary Wizard and she has the Ahku Amulet which contains Magykal powers.

Septimus Heap-He is the hero of this book. He used to be in the Young Army and was known as boy 412. Later on he finds out that he is Silas Heaps son and is apprenticed to Marcia.

Jenna-She is the Queeness/Princess of The Castle. She is raised by the Heaps.

DomDaniel-He is a Darke Wizard. He wants to eliminate Jenna so he can rule The Castle.

Theme

The theme of the book is to never give up and to do whatever you can to help or acheive your goal. In Magyk the characters have to find out who Septimus Heap is but they have all these challenges they have to face just to find him.
