Kirke brothers attack Quebec

The Kirke brothers worked for England, and attacked Quebec when it was taken by France, making Champlain surrender. The English then took over Quebec.

Samuel De Champlain is 1st to settle in North America

Pierre Du Gua De Monts was given a monopoly for fur trade in Canada, so he settled in Port Royal, Acadia with Champlain.

Originally called New France, Champlain settled there for fur trade.
