In conclusion, North Korea and 1984 have many similarities and differences. But in the end they both seem to be an undesirable environment to live in.

- Organizational life- They must meet every once in a while to talk about what they did.

- Wants to be independent, b/c of this ideal they make nuclear weapons so they that they can be powerful enough that no one can control them.

- Big Brother is really an unknown person
- Always at war

- Both control what citizens are allowed to see on the television
- Both ration out food to each family home
- All jobs are assigned by the government
- Most citizens don't know what is really going on in the country and only know what they've been told

- Both have labor camps
- Both have a black market
- Government controls the media and what it says and does
- Both have propaganda; North Korea has signs saying "Thank you, our leader", 1984 has "Big Brother is always watching".
