Animist War

Even though there has been no recorded war that was caused by animism, many animists believe they are leading a fight against the wicked spirits of the spirit world. Several people that practice animism believe that there is Spiritual Warfare between them and the demons of the spirit world.

Animism

Positive Things in Animism

Branches of Animism

Animism is the belief that everything that is living has a soul or a spirit. Animism originated back in the Stone Age, making it one of the oldest beliefs known to man. It comes from the Latin word "anima" meaning breath or soul. This belief or religion has no specific or known founders. In animism you cannot hurt anything with a soul because it is sacred.

Animism has three branches to it:

Ritualism and Ceremonialism-the use of ceremonies or rituals to further existence

Shamanism-communication or entrance with the spirit world through a Shaman, or witch doctor to obtain solutions to problems

Fetishism-doctrine of spirits embodied, attached or conveying influence through, certain animals or material objects

Animists believe that everone has equal rights and should be treated fairly. They also believe that everything on this Earth has a soul or spirit. These spirits are very sacred to the Natives because it is a huge part of their life and culture.Animists also believe that you should respect everything that God has given you.
