7. Which of Odysseus heroic qualities does he demonstrate in this passage? Will power because he didn’t get tempted to eat the cattle. Odysseus also has determination because even after the horrible storm Zeus throw at them he still didn’t give up trying to get home.

The Cattle of the Sun God is about a big decision that can affect Odysseus and his shipmates. the big decision they are facing is to go behind Odysesus back and eat the cattle which is meant for the goods, or eat the little they have on board. Odyssus shipmates go behind his back while he is sleeping and decide to eat the cattle knowing that Zeus will face them with a punishment. Zeus detroys their boat which leaves them stranded again which means they wont be home for awhile.
