Ancient China had three main religions: Taoism,Confucianism, and Buddhism. They converted to Buddhism because it was a relief from suffering and let them continue their traditions.(pg.210,p.5-6),Ancient Civilizations
Confucianism taught them to be honest and kind to one another.
Most of China was mountainous and hilly. They also had many rivers flowing and different parts of China.To the North has cold,dry deserts in winter,But to the South,there was warm,moist climate.(China: Its History and Culture by.W.Scott Morton.)(pg.6)

Ancient China's achievements were paper,silk,the wheel barrel,and rubber.The most important thing that they invented was gun powder,and we still use it today, (Google.com) Silk was also one of the important things, so if the secret of creating it was revealed, death was punishment.
China's Politics: Secular or Religious
China's Politics are both secular and religious. They are both because Dynasties would believe and have citizens follow religion as part of the government. But, they were secular because they would just control (sometimes) under no religion. (The Ancient World) pg. 212, p1-2

China's achievements were secular because they didn't have to do anything religious.The achievements pretty much helped with economy and their advancement.
Its secular because none of the things they did with their geography had to do with religion.China was secular because

Ancient China is divided into 4 classes the 4 classes were:upper class,emperors,second,peasants,artisans,and merchants(lowest class), (Ancient Civilizations, pg. 202, p. 2.
In Ancient China, the Chinese would make (three of the many) wheelbarrows, iron swords, and silk to trade with other civilizations. Silk was the most important since it got traded for the most money. One of the reasons it got traded for the most money is because only the Chinese knew how to make it, and it was very popular.

The social Structure in china was secular because none of the classes were determined by anything religious. The social classes were only determined by what you were born into.
China's Economy was secular because none of the things they traded were religious or were made as a religious value. Also, trading and money had no value to their religion and how they should use/trade things.
