Inbreeding

Definition

Inbreeding is the process in which two related organisms are crossed, especially over many generations.

People inbreed organisms to selectively breed, or get one offspring with desirable traits for a certain job.

Goal: Inbreed a dog that can catch a duck impossible to see, even by a dog

  • Hybridization has been used to breed thousands of dogs that we have today as pets. In fact, it is said that dogs became domesticated from selectively breeding.
