The Egyptian religion was polytheistic believing in many gods. Such as Osiris- the god of vegetation, Isis- the goddess of fertility who was believed to have put her husband/ brother Osiris back together, and Horus- the god of light and sky, who was also the son of Isis and Osiris. They also gave these deities food, drinks, clothing, and rituals of purification to sustain them as protectors of Egypt. These rituals were preformed in front of cult statues of the god.
Most roads were dirt roads, and paved roads were the exception. Only rarely were they the result of construction work
The planning of Egyptian architects and stone-masons was meticulous. It included ground-plans, sections and contours drawn on surfaces covered with grid lines. Petrie who investigated the Great Pyramids wrote
Most all of Egypt's best built monuments, the ones still around for us to see today, were somehow related to religion, and all construction of religious buildings in ancient Egypt began with ceremonies of very ancient origin
