PLOT
In the beginning of the book, the flock find themselves getting attacked by flying Erasers. Which leaves them pretty stunned and laughing because how big their wings were and what clumsy flyers they were. After the fight, Fang is taken to a hospital, they move in with Anne, and get enrolled in school. The flock runs away from Anne and heads toward Florida. Then, they go to Disney World because of constantly pesting Max. They get chased out of there by Erasers and go to a motel, where Max gets kidnapped.
SETTING
The setting is in a few different places. The author uses the different locations well because he makes it seem like nowhere is safe.

The theme of the book is to never give up. Max and the flock are determined to defeat the School, the Institute and Intex. Whatever they would throw at the flock, they fight their way through, escape, and hide. And when they are found, they do it all over again, and they progress to other places, with more knowledge about the School, Institute, Intex, the Erasers, the white-coats, and even themselves.
AUTHOR'S CRAFT
MAXIMUM RIDE:
SCHOOL'S OUT- FOREVER
I think the author's craft is suspense. James Patterson keeps the action coming. He uses Max point of view very well. You won't want to put the book down.
