Unit 8: D2 - Business Case

How it relates to the PID

Before we start creating the business case, we have to have completed the PID to see if the project feasible.

How to lay it out

For each option:

Cost-benefit analysis

  • Identify all associated costs Inc. services, rentals, payroll, training etc. (present in a table?)
  • Record all anticipated benefits of the implementation of this plan
  • Move on to the next option

Evaluate the costs to benefits of all options - inc not undertaking the project

Solutions

Identify multiple solutions to the problem - you are giving your client a choice as to how to proceed

For most problems, there are multiple solutions possible- There is ALWAYS the choice of not going ahead with the project.
