… is a craft that uses the tools of digital technology to tell stories about our lives. Done properly, storytelling can be a powerful, evocative, and emotional way of communicating themes and stories.
Some Multimedia & Digital Storytelling modes:
let's see some examples for inspiration
Some points to consider:
PLAN - try to get students to plan, then implement (use the LwICT inquiry cycle)
Use good principles of design - but the goal is the STORY ... unless the class is about design or video production, etc.!
Video: slow movement, don’t zoom in/out too much & use a tripod if you can.
Sound: watch volume, quality: use a microphone if you can.

tell a simple, beautiful story
be funny ...
... mash-ups & creative editing/re-imagining:
"... refers to using new digital tools to help ordinary people to tell their own real-life stories." (Wikipedia)
“Digital Storytelling is the modern expression of the ancient art of storytelling. Throughout history, storytelling has been used to share knowledge, wisdom, and values. Stories have taken many different forms. Stories have been adapted to each successive medium that has emerged, from the circle of the campfire to the silver screen, and now the computer screen.” (Leslie Rule, Digital Storytelling Association)
