The Tang Dynasty

The Tang Dynasty was founded

in 618 C.E.

The Tang empire came after the

Sui empire,which ended in 618,

which was the same year the Tang

tax system, as well as the same

military system.

Some popular rulers of the Tang Dynasty were Wu Zetian, (who was infact the first and last Chinese emperess) Xuanzong, and as well Li Shimin.

Li Shimin was the founder, and he even took over the Sui dynasty, to call it his own in 618 C.E.

Wu Zetian, was the first and last Chinese emperess, and ruled for almost half a century

In 755, An Lushan aligned with Shi Siming and launched a rebellion, called the An Shi, a rebellion which lasted for eight years and heavily knocked the Tang's government. From then on, the national strength was weakened daily by rebellion forces in local areas. Because of the lack of ability, the emperors the dominance of the ruler and power struggles between chancellors became increasingly intense. That lead to the downfall of the Tang dynasty
