Persian social classes
- They were not only the highest class but they had the lowest amount of people
- They had considerable wealth

Bureaucrats
- They did not directly challenge the patriarchal warriors and did not seek to displace them from their privalaged position is society
- Their crucial role in running the day to day affairs of the empire guarenteed them a prominent and comfortable in Persian society
Free Classes
- The bulk of Persian Society consisted of free classes
- They consisted of artisans, craftsmen, merchants, and low ranking civil servants
Slaves
- The slaves class was a large class
- They worked in the cities and the countryside
- Most of them were prisioners of prisoners of war
- The other slaves came free classes that could not pay their debt
