Live music also made great progression with different technologies.

Disco was popular in the early 1980's and the rest of the 1980s was dominated by rock.

Pop was also a very popular genre in the 1980's, The era of Blondie and Madonna and the King of Pop Micheal Jackson

Thriller - Michael Jackson (1982)

This album featured 9 singles including 'Pretty Young Thing', 'Thriller', and 'Beat It' which are all still very well known today. It reached Number 1 in album charts in over 8 countries.

Kylie - Kylie Minogue (1988)

Kylie dominated the 80's with her dance and teen pop music which were put onto her 10 track long album, featuring hits such as 'The Loco-Motion' and 'I Should Be So Lucky.'

|Typically, females wore bright colours, leg warmers and big hair.

The men also had big hair with a lot of jewelry and bright coloured clothing.
