Problems Arose

*women were accused of witchcraft so there role in being nurses or doctors was taken away

*Small sicknesses such as colds and flues were treated at home by the mother or daughter

Deadly diseases:

-bubonic plague (black death)

Weird fact: Amulets of dried blood and ground-up toads were worn around their waists.

Most open flesh wounds and bones would get infected and would have to get amputated.

Medicine

Head Pains: treated with herbs such as: rose, sage, lavender, and bay

Bubonic plague (Black Death): treated by lancing the buboes and applying a warm poultice of butter, onion, and garlic

Stomach pains: treated with wormwood, mint, and balm

Doctors Vs Nurses
