She is going to therapy that is helping her slowly remember. in school she meets a girl named Megan. Megan is emotionally challenged as well. Kendra falls in love with Megan and uses her as a comfort blanket. Kendra covers her scars and hopes no one finds them along with her secrets. Although she shares her secrets in her paintings, another form of therapy she uses to express her emotions.
The book was great. It was a one-sit-reading for me. I could not put it down. I can relate to the book and multiple personal levels, which are too private for me to share. This book surprised me, it took me a little bit to get latched onto it but the short chapters made it sem like the book was fast-pace. It seems that ways but the events accured in a series of a few years. I would recommend it to a friend. It's a very brave and inccouraging novel. I would read it multiple times over. In her book her imagery was very vivid. When Kendra would talk about her infected cuts the author would use stomach crinching imagery, that made me nausaous from time to time.
