In conclusion for this questionnaire analysis, overall I think that my questions were suitable to what I was looking to find out, which was why people do or do not like horror films and I have found out that most people like horror films for their blood & gore and the scares, however people also dislike them because of their unoriginality, the predictability, the stupidity of the characters and the after-effects of watching a horror film. Using this information, I will filter some of the responses into my work to improve certain scenes so that people will not be bored with it or find it too cheesy or predictable.
For my first question, I asked whether people liked horror films or not. The majority of people who answered said that they did like horror films, with 60.23% (53 people) answering 'yes'. However, 39.77% (35 people) of those who answered said that they did not like horror films.
For question 3, I asked 'what do you like about horror films?' The options I gave for this questions were 'the scare', 'the blood & guts', 'the struggle to survive', 'the confusion', 'the endings', 'I don't like them' and 'other'. 32.95% (29 people) like the scare, 20.45% (18 people) like the blood & guts, 17.05% (15 people) like the struggle to survive, 13.64% (12 people) like the confusion, 17.05% (15 people) like the endings, 26.14% (23 people) do not like them and 12.50% (11 people) answered other. Of those who answered other, some of the responses include "the story behind them", "the imagery", "the unseen revelations" and "watching other people getting scared by them".
