Organic food differs from conventionally produced food simply in the way it is grown, handled and processed. There is no scientific evidence to suggest that it is more nutritious or safer than conventional food.
Probably not, but the answer isn't yet clear. A recent study examined the past 50 years' worth of scientific articles about the nutrient content of organic and conventional foods. The researchers concluded that organically and conventionally produced foodstuffs are not significantly different in their nutrient content.
Organic food can be identified with the help of an organic logo on the package.
We think organic foods are healthier and safer because people aren't dumping chemicals like preservatives or pesticides onto the plants and also the animals are treated better. But since people don't put pesticides on the plants to keep away bugs, the plants are more suseptable to damage from bugs, etc. Also, food probably won't last as long since there are no preservatives.
