It is a condition in where the scapula protrudes out which make it resembles a wing.

  • Bad posture
  • Poor form
  • Contusion(bruise)/Or weakness top the serratus anterior
  • Damage to the long thoracic nerve of the shoulder, which causes paralysis of the serratus anterior
  • Limited ROM of upper extremities
  • Disability in certain cases
  • Pain

Full rehabilitation consists of exercises that strengthen the shoulder and the serratus anterior(holds the scapula in place) unless paralysis is the problem.
