It is a condition in where the scapula protrudes out which make it resembles a wing.
- Bad posture
- Poor form
- Contusion(bruise)/Or weakness top the serratus anterior
- Damage to the long thoracic nerve of the shoulder, which causes paralysis of the serratus anterior
- Limited ROM of upper extremities
- Disability in certain cases
- Pain
Full rehabilitation consists of exercises that strengthen the shoulder and the serratus anterior(holds the scapula in place) unless paralysis is the problem.
