Spotify is a music player software that can either be downloaded or used in a web browser. Spotify allows music to be streamed for an infinite time, with the exception of adverts every two songs. A premium option is allowed where certain sums of money can be paid for months or years of premium. Spotify Premium allows you to stream music offline (without internet) and without adverts. It includes a wide selection of music of all genres worldwide, accordingly to the copyright laws of the country.
The first step to making the most of your Spotify experience is to begin making playlists and adding songs!
Here is a screenshot of the home screen for Spotify, the layout is fairly simple and the colour scheme allows a clear view of the text and options. There is little to be done about the formatting so the colour scheme stays the same. Everything is labelled and organised so it should be fairly easy to navigate around Spotify!
Spotify has the ability to also share the music you listen to on Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. You simply have to connect your account to any of those and click the share button next to the song or playlist. As well as this you can also follow your friends or favourite artists, for news on songs they've listened to or added to playlists. There is a small bar on the right that presents this news feed.
There is a Spotify Player that lets you stream music infinitely and with ads. With Spotify Premium you can stream music infinitely with no ads. There is also a web player which shares a similar format as the software but is played in a browser.
To create a music playlist, it is fairly simple. There will be a button at the side of your home page which will allow you to create a playlist and give it a name. To add songs to this playlist you can click and drag the song to the playlist, or right-click and add it to the playlist.
Both of the layouts are fairly simple, the navigation bars are listed with all of the components inside Spotify along with a search bar to look for all of your songs. The album, artists and date the song was added will be listed.
To follow your favourite artists you need to go to their Spotify page, where it shows their discography, bio and artists related to them. Next to their name there should be a button that should allow you to follow them, next to their follower count.

There is also a Spotify App that allows you to stream music for free on your phone, you can shuffle your playlists and listen with adverts as usual. There is also a limit of 6 skips per hour. With Spotify Premium infinite music streaming is allowed with no limited skips or ads!

When you have first created your Spotify account you are able to try Spotify Premium for free for 30 days, or pay £9.99 a month.
Here are the three screens you are likely to see often, when you're on a playlist or album you are going to see the name of the playlist, who has made it and album art. Next, your home screen will show you artists, albums, playlists and songs . Finally, there is a navigation banner on the side that you can press and use all the other features of the app.
