How does the plot relate to the theme?
The big part of the story that happened was when the skunk sprayed Brian after the skunk was taking his turtle eggs that he was going to eat and obviously he wasn't prepared for that but just in case he should have been expecting something to happen.
How does the setting relate to the theme?
The wilderness is can be very dangerous and Brian knew that, and he tried to make a shelter as safe as he could but he was not prepared for being in the forest even though he didn't think a single thought about crash landing off course.

Always be prepared for anything.
How does the Character relate to the theme?
Brian was not prepared because, as he knew animals were in the forest and he didn't put in the effort to make a more fortified home so when he got sprayed by the skunk he destroyed his shelter.
Summary
This chapter teaches and illustrates.It shows that you always have to prepared.In the beginning a skunk started digging up Brian's eggs he tried to scare the skunk and then got sprayed, and the skunk ate the eggs. Soon he got fish too but when the skunk sprayed him he messed up his shelter so he fixed it and made it better he also needed to stock up on food. Up on a rock about ten feet was a small ledge, and he started to cut a log so he would be able to climb to the ledge to store the food then Brian started fishing again.
