Lessons 6,7,8 Children are to make a breaking news video using an application, this could be done on IMovie, on the children’s Ipad’s if preferred. The children can use the cameras on their Ipad’s to film their videos.

Lessons 3,4 Children are to write an information report about the natural disaster they have chosen. They can use an application or software to write up their information reports.

Lesson 5 Children are to write a script up for a news group, consisting of news anchor, reporter at the event site, people from the incident, and a reporter with the people from the incident. Children are to post scripts once complete in to the folder on Edmodo.

My resource is a collection of lessons that incorporate multimedia devices in a variety of ways.
Lessons 1, 2 Children are set into small groups to research about a natural disaster. The children can use the devices to research the natural disasters. The teacher needs to explain this is for the News Breaking Project where they will be making a video as if they are to be presenting the news.

Many teachers go straight to computers or smart boards, though they do not understand how to use the devices properly
In many schools around NSW now have the system ‘BYOD’ – Bring Your Own Device, this allows children to use their own devices and make a connect to home
