Within my grade level, we could each select an area of the curriculum in which to provide enrichment for gifted students. For example with writing, one teacher may focus on narrative writing, while another focuses on persuasive writing. At the end of the Enrichment rotation, students can select their own product that they will create within that particular mode of writing. If I was the persuasive writing teacher, I may have a student creating an advertisement, whereas another student might create a song with a persuasive theme.

I selected this model because I felt the most comfortable with Renzulli's research. His Schoolwide Enrichment triad incorporates a common theme: ability, acceleration and/or enrichment, and higher order thinking. The tenets of the SEM Model fit with the Parallel Curriculum Model
