Metamorphic "Laws"
1. Metamorphic rocks have been altered from pre-existing rocks.
2. They can be changed physically (bent, twisted, deformed).
3. They can also be changed chemically (minerals change - think fossils).
4. High pressure, intense heat and water are needed for change.
5. Thicker layers = more intense change.
Thinner layers = less intense change.
