Some of the techniques that I discovered from the title sequence that I am going to incorporate into my own include the use of short clips relating to the films plot. For example all the different clips of scrapbooks might be important later on in the film and with the plot of our film we could have a title sequence section of the female character writing plans for her 'attack'. That way it will fit in with the title sequence as well as imitating real life thriller films.

Also, I am going to use edgy fonts in many different sizes to mimic the thriller film genre.

What I shall use

What I noticed

When watching the title sequence to this film, I noticed that the actors names were just written with nothing else to explain what they meant whereas the director had 'directed by...' It shows that the actors are not needed to be named by career as they are known for what they do whereas the production team need showing what there part to play in the film was.

I have seen this in a number of title sequences and will therefore use this technique.

The titles

The actual titles themselves are a variety of different font types and sounds. They are layered within different clips of what we predict are future clips from the film or at least clips related to the film. The clips are very psychologically strange and so sets the tone of the film as being a psychological thriller. If we were to imitate the title sequence of this film we could use clips of one of our characters from ''later on in the film''.

Music/Sound

The music in the background is very screechy and jumpy but makes the audience intrigued and creates a sense of mystery and unknown which will make the audience want to watch more.

It also sets the mood of the film and so although we wouldn't use such sharp loud music, it shows that setting the tone of your film from the beginning will fascinate the audience.
