What were the roles of each individual in the family?
Men- house hold rituals
- hunting for food
Women- raising the children
- managing the house
- taking care of the
husbands parents
Agriculture/Farming
-Gunpowder. You would not have guns without gunpowder.
-Porcelain. You use it in pots and jars.
-Silk. silk was used to make clothes. it came from worms.
-Poor people did not go to school. Instead they worked as farmers
-Rich nobles or the sons of can go to school
-people that can pay went to school.
Farming and agriculture is important because it tells us how the ancient chinese farmed their land.
The entire family had to work on the farm together, not just the girls of the family or the boys in the family.
Who had more power in the family?
What techniques did they use for keeping their plants healthy?
The men would have more power in the family.
- stored water in buckets
- channeling
- built there villages near a river
- Would decide the rules
- Who the daughter married
- What job the son would have
-They either traded with themselves or traded at the silk road.
-The farming tools were really important to the farmers since without them they could not farm and could not trade, they were made of iron.
-They use a proper trading system for trading.
Religion
Why was it good to live in the Huang He area?
Religion had an heavy effect on what the huang he people believed and what there ranks were
-Religion was brought there by travelers from the sik road.

-It was governed by The king and his Advisers. There sometimes were Queens
-There were different officers and lord to govern too.
-The kings can collect taxes to make the city develop more and pay officers.

- was hard for intruders to cross because of mountains, deserts, and rain forests.

-They created bronze, silk, abacus, compasses,umbrellas, chopsticks,kites,gunpowder,

-Because of that, they were a lot more advanced than other countries.
-People that sold jade and silk were a lot more wealthy but poor people were treated badly.
-The Army was sometimes used when a Town is under siege
-There were City guards patrolling the city wall.
-Kings had Royal Guards to protect him and his family.
-They memorized facts
-They learn the sayings of wise people or philosophers
-They took tests to see if they can be a official (that was an important job at that time!)
Government
Government is important because it shows how the ancient Chinese people governed cities
-They traded in the silk road and focused on silk and toys.
-Other than that they also traded wheat, millet, rice, grapes, peaches, green onions, ginger roots and many farm animals.
- The silk road also brought new ideas to china
like Buddhism. arse
-Important factors both economically and for the family.
People earned a lot of money and there wealth really helped them.
