where do the processes get their energy from

  • interior processes get their energy from the movement of tectonic plates.
  • surface processes get their energy from interior processes
  • severe weather processes get their energy from the climate and weather of the earth.

Natural resources

Interior processes affect the uneven distribution of energy, groundwater, and minerals because they will get in the way of the distribution. for example, earthquakes are caused by the movement of tectonic plates. the tectonic plates block the layer of oil that is covered in energy and gas. that makes the distribution of energy, minerals, and groundwater uneven.

Surface processes affect the uneven distribution of energy, groundwater, and minerals because it jumbles up the GEM that is on the surface of the earth, creating an uneven distribution of the GEM. the GEM will be only in the areas it was tossed around in, making large gaps of the GEM. an example of this is landslides moving around the surfaced gold.

Severe weather processes affect the uneven distribution of GEM because they break down parts of the G and M by Chemical Weathering. this will break down minerals and groundwater aquifers in hot places, leaving gaps in the spread of minerals and ground water aquifers. the way that the severe weather processes affect energy is by the energy density in some of the processes. for example, tornadoes hae alot of energy built up inside to do the most damage. where do you think that energy is coming from? the earth. as the tornado uses up earth's energy, it will make gaps of energy emptiness because it is using it all in that area.

Interior process- a disaster that happens inside the earth. the usually create surface processes, and are very disastrous.

Surface process- disaster that happens on the surface of the earth. most of these are caused from interior processes. they are sometimes predictable and sometimes a total surprise. they are also very lethal to the human race

Severe weather process- a hazard that is caused by severe weather. These disasters aren't caused by things that happen because of the earths movement. these are strictly caused by the climate.

Examples of geo science processes

Interior process- sinkholes, earthquakes, volcanoes

Surface process- landslides, wildfires, drought, tsunamis, floods

Severe weather process- extreme thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, extreme heat waves, extreme winter conditions

uneven distribution of natural resources
