Resilience is Necessary for Success
Emerging adults ability to listen and learn
- will lead them to exploration of other countries and cultures
- identify the rules of social situations
- make sound decisions that support their future success and emotional stability.
Resilience:
"The ability to adapt effectively in the face of threats to development", Laura E. Berk (p.10)
Emerging Adulthood:
A distinct development period that "is neither adolescence or young adulthood", Jeffrey Jensen Arnett (p. 469). A discontinous development stage that occurs between the ages of 18-25.
Emerging adulthood is a great development stage. People in this stage are actively engaged in learning as it pertains to their life goals. Resilience is one more tool for them to use to be successful both academically and in their careers.

- A successful bank is built over time with positive deposits that are drawn from during times of stress.
