Being

Someone or something in the sentence IS something

Helping

Many of the Being verbs are also Helping...meaning they help other verbs create meaning

A sentence must have a subject and a verb

The dog ran.

The children and the dog played.

The children and the dog played and ran.

The dog is short.

The children and the dog are in the yard.

The children and the dog are in the yard and are playing.

Action

Someone or something in the sentence is performing the action
