Why do Pro-life people disagree with abortion?

Since the legalization of abortion in 1973, there have been approximately 50 million abortions performed in the United States.

  • The rich would be able to hire doctors without word getting out.

  • The poor may be able to still get an abortion but it would be unsafe, without a doctor.

How did legal abortion start?

Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. An abortion is when the pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. Ever since the landmark Roe V. Wade decison by the Supreme Court, which legalized abortion, opponents (Pro-life) have been doing everything to repeal the law.

Norma McCorvey wanted an abortion but it was illegal in the state of Texas. Two attorneys picked up her case and took it all the way to the Supreme Court. The case was known as Roe v. Wade. The U.S. Supreme Court favored McCorvey, affirming the legality of a woman's right to have an abortion.
