This shows the joy that simply nature can bring to a person. It is a very powerful thing.

~Don’t listen to others, because yourself is all that matters. Don’t rely on anyone else and do what you want to do.

“Don’t you ever let a man tell you who you are or make you feel like you are less than he is. You can do whatever you want.” -Sister Jude, American Horror Story (Self-Reliance)

~You know yourself best, so you shouldn’t listen to what others say, and you should think for yourself and do what makes you happy. You are your first priority.

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition; they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” -Steve Jobs, Apple Inc. (Free Thought)

~Learning not only needs to come from the classroom and books, but it should come from nature. Experiencing nature is something that can’t be taught in the classroom.

I want my grandkids to grow up in the great outdoors. The last thing I want is for them to grow up to be nerds.” -Phil Robertson, Duck Dynasty (Power of Nature)

~Nature is full of endless beauty, and it is phenomenal and unique.

“I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, ‘Who couldn’t believe there’s a God?’ It blows me away.” -Paul Walker (Power of Nature)

~When life gets tough, stay strong, and keep moving on. Life goes on.

“When life gets you down do you wanna know what you’ve gotta do? Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” -Dory, Finding Nemo (Confidence)

~We each have similarities and differences, but we should not only focus on the similarities, because we need to be different and make our life unique. We need to think for ourselves, rather than for others.

“It matters not whether one is dirty or clean, for can cleanliness exist without filthiness? And would we know filthiness without cleanliness? We must not re-enact the history that divides us, rather, we must embrace that which draws us together! All must be free to choose their own path!" -Spongebob, Spongebob Squarepants (Free Thought)

~Always be proud of who you are, but don’t be too proud. Too much of a good thing can be bad.

“Knowing who you are is confidence. Cockiness is knowing who you are and pushing it down everyone’s throat.” -Mila Kunis (Confidence)

~Things will not always be perfect but when they don’t go well, only you can cheer yourself up. Move on and be happy, because you are the key to your own happiness.

“When you get pushed down, pick yourself up and move on. I’ve never been a victim.” -Sharon Osbourne, (Self-Reliance)

“Don’t be afraid to be what you are, ‘cause all you can be, is you! You’ll never be anything else but you, so be the best you, you can be. Keep it real by all means, at all times.” -Student, Freedom Writers (Non-Conformity)

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” -Steve Jobs, Apple Inc. (Non-Conformity)

~Being different, dreaming big, and standing out from a crowd provides you with more opportunity to change the world. Being plain makes you scared to take risks.

The Beatles - Mother Nature’s Son (Power of Nature)

The man in this picture is going off on his own, with nothing but the clothes on his back and a briefcase. This represents the man relying on himself and the few resources he has.

The cage represents the thing that was once holding the birds back. The birds flying high from the cage represents the confidence the birds have built after they were free.

This song is about a boy who enjoys nature and its company. He finds peace and comfort in it.

Never Shout Never - On the Brightside (Confidence)

Females are often pressured to live up to the beauty standards that society has created, such as wearing makeup to look and feel pretty.

Green Day - Minority (Free Thought)

Never Shout Never - Piggy Bank (Self-Reliance)

This song is about rebellion to authority and the opinions of the people that tell him to be a certain way. The message is to enjoy being weird, different, and being yourself.

Green Day - American Idiot (Non-Conformity)

The singer talks about how he doesn't need to rely on money or other materialistic things for happiness, because worrying about money all the time is a waste of time. He relies on himself for happiness.
