A Letter From Christopher Columbus

It's about his voyage to the "Indies"

It took thirty three days to get there and twenty eight to get back

He "found" many islands and named them...

San Salvador, Santa Maria de Concepcion, Fernandina, Isabella, and Juana

In the new land he could find his way around the land easily because there were a lot of rivers and lakes

Columbus supposedly gave massive amounts of treasure to the natives and recieved nothing in return

Columbus thinks the natives would make great manual laborors because of their strong build and their speed

More than anything Columbus wants to convert the Native American to Christianity

However, if the king didn't want the people converted, they would be left alone

Because of the Native Americans skill with tools and their strength, when Columbus finds gold mines in the new land he considers using them to mine it.

He is essentially telling all interested parties bout his exploits in the new land and how he will advance from there.

Legitimacy

This note was written by Christopher Columbus Himself, and is all proven to be true because of the numerous witnesses who were with him while "discovering" this new land.
